Manitoba's Interlake region is widely regarded as one of the best locations for bird watching. The varied terrain and proximity to Lake Winnipeg (one of the world's largest fresh water lakes) means that a variety of species can be spotted nearby. Country Quarters is located in the transition zone between prairie grassland and parkland forest. The Interlake is also one of the best sites from which to observe the spring and fall bird migrations.
